Graduates will secure employment in positions related to political science and public administration in the public sector, local governments, international organizations, and the private sector, and/or will be placed in postgraduate education programmes.
Graduates will effectively employ analytical thinking, policy design, and evidence-based decision-making skills in the processes of public policy formulation, implementation, and evaluation.
Graduates will possess the competency to conduct legal analysis within the framework of constitutional law, administrative law, and relevant legislation required in public administration practice, and to interpret institutional processes.
Graduates will adopt a socially sensitive and solution-oriented approach to societal problems in line with the values of public interest, ethical principles, human rights, and sustainable development.
Graduates will follow international developments, continuously improve their foreign language and professional competencies, and adopt a lifelong learning approach.
Graduates of the Political Science and Public Administration Undergraduate Programme:
PLO 1. Explaining Theories and Concepts in the Field
Explain fundamental concepts, theories, and approaches pertaining to political science, public administration, law, administrative sciences, and urbanization and the environment; understand and evaluate the core theories, concepts, and frameworks of political science. Possess foundational subject-area knowledge specific to the programme, including the history of political thought, political systems, political economy, constitutional law, fiscal policy, local governments, administrative justice, the Turkish economy, and European Union relations.
Define and compare the processes of public policy formulation, implementation, and evaluation, as well as governance models. Evaluate different political systems, public administration models, and current political developments from a comparative perspective.
PLO 3. Policy Analysis and Solution Development
Identify and analyse issues related to public policies through analytical methods, and develop policy recommendations. Conduct multidimensional analyses of current social, economic, and political events, evaluating the effects of different political and administrative structures.
Conduct policy evaluations by employing quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis, and interpretation methods. Interpret data pertaining to political, social, and administrative processes through scientific methods, and carry out academic and professional analyses.
Interpret legal texts to develop assessments pertaining to public administration practice. Analyse fundamental regulatory frameworks in constitutional law, administrative law, and administrative justice in relation to political and administrative processes.
Conduct multidimensional analyses of political and administrative processes at local, national, and international levels. Comprehend the interactions between political science and disciplines such as economics, diplomacy, public administration, and sociology, and carry out evaluations from an interdisciplinary perspective.

Effectively fulfil assigned duties and responsibilities within the scope of both individual work and teamwork.
